Infor's October 2026 Cumulative Update touches almost every part of the CloudSuite. In this briefing, we'll walk through it the way your teams will experience it, one workstream at a time: platform and experiences, HR and payroll, talent, workforce management, finance, and supply chain. Generative AI runs through all of them, so we'll show where it lands in each. First, how the changes reach you. Every feature carries an adoption label. Automatic changes simply appear. Feature toggles wait for you to turn them on. Configuration options need setup by your team. And some items require configuration by Infor. A few also need specialized licensing, or are in limited availability for early adopters. Reading those labels is the fastest way to triage the release. Let's start with the platform. The public Knowledge Hub is now available across the multi-tenant commercial cloud, so users can ask questions about Infor documentation in plain language. New AI agents can retrieve data across the entire HCM suite, covering 9 domains, in limited availability. And the AI platform itself matures: a refreshed, full-screen GenAI Assistant, content moderation guardrails, support for the Agent2Agent protocol, and a no-code Agentic Orchestrator with Flow Builder. The everyday experience changes too. Employees and managers get a unified self-service experience, turned on with a feature toggle. Portal apps make it easier to multitask across business functions. And the new Infor Mobile Hub is built for frontline employees, with the AI Assistant included. Going forward, it replaces Infor Go, and it arrives in the app stores with this release, subject to approval. For data and integrations, there's a new iPaaS connector and a Stream Pipelines API for Infor Data Fabric. A semantic data model layer lets business users query in natural language. Birst adds GenAI expression building. A metric store keeps definitions consistent across the ecosystem. And process mining now produces AI-generated recommendations. Now HR and payroll. Payroll administrators get a dedicated workspace, and a Payroll Processing Dates Calendar that lays the foundation for future agents. Former employees can access their year-end documents. And in the Velocity Suite, two new AI capabilities arrive: Duplicate Deduction Detection, and a Pre-Processing Agent that checks the payroll before it runs. Payroll agents can also answer questions across the full payroll data set. In benefits, the new Benefits Concierge Agent helps employees with questions, life events, and open enrollment. Evidence of insurability fields now appear on life events, and life and disability plans gain coverage options based on salary multiples. Smaller changes add up as well, like merged validate and update for HIPAA 834 files, and a new withhold option for dependent gender. Core HR adds dedicated workspaces for occupational health and employee safety, enhanced position requests for managers, and data obfuscation to protect non-production environments. AI helps maintain qualification requirements at scale, and forecasts budget variance in the position monitor. In compensation, organizations can budget merit awards for part-time employees, build rate progression rules on credentials and education, and run gender equity operational reports. In talent management, recruiting gets the biggest refresh. Managers get a simpler way to request requisitions. Candidates and recruiters can text each other in both directions. Interview evaluation forms bring structure to feedback, and the recruiter's candidate and requisition views are reimagined. On the AI side, Candidate Fit Matching replaces PercentFit with clear ratings, from poor to exceptional, alongside skills suggestions and talent agents in limited availability. Workforce Management may be the busiest workstream. Intelligent Open Shift Coverage moves filling shifts from manual calls to automation. Anomaly Detection highlights unusual time and attendance patterns. The GenAI Assistant gains new agents, skills and tools, and can summarize schedules and pay rules. A developer agent helps write and explain Groovy scripts. And forecasting now comes with GenAI insights. Most of these require configuration by Infor. The core product moves forward as well. Employees can bid on rotation schedules. Attestation supports flexible pay periods and weekly sign-off, and detailed time attestation reaches the hardware clocks. New GT clocks modernize time capture. Quick views keep improving, operational reporting becomes self-service, and the product adds Danish, Serbian and Burmese. Moving to Financials and Supply Management. Finance teams get Automated Close Management to orchestrate the period close, IRS 1099 e-filing through the IRIS system, and a Pay As Guest portal for customer payments. General ledger reporting adds templates and multi-tenant export. Government organizations get ACFR reporting support. And financial anomaly detection arrives in limited availability. For procurement, contracts and supply chain, healthcare teams get par transfers, and purchase orders can be managed by inventory region. Contracts gain invoice windows and more than 20 evaluation improvements. Advance ship notices can be tracked end to end, and recall management supports FDA recalls. A Premier GPO interface, and enhanced receiving and putaway, are available to early adopters. GenAI reaches deep into FSM. The assistant for FSM brings 60 chat agents, 145 tools, and 8 skills. Lists can be summarized in place, and a Billing Assistant is in limited availability. Role-based agents support finance and procurement work. And through Agent2Agent, FSM agents can work with Microsoft Copilot, while MCP opens predictions to other AI tools. A few dates to put on the calendar. October closes the opt-in window for the FSM Consolidated Webapps, so review custom security roles now. And for US-East customers, pre-production tenants receive the November service release at the end of October. Plan your regression testing around that window. So how should you prepare? Sort the release by adoption label. Regression test the automatic changes. Decide which feature toggles to turn on, and assign an owner to each configuration option. Talk with Infor early about licensing and limited availability. Then pilot the AI features in your TST tenant with one team, measure the results, and expand what works. To go deeper, read the full white paper, Inside the October 2026 Cumulative Update. And when you're ready, talk with Cendien about turning this release into results, at cendien.com.

Infor's October 2026 release, version 2026.10, touches almost every part of CloudSuite. It is also easy to misread. The headlines are about AI agents, but most of what changes for your teams sits in payroll calendars, recruiting screens, scheduling rules, close checklists and purchase orders, and much of it has to be switched on, configured or licensed before anyone sees it.

This article summarizes our new white paper, *Inside the October 2026 Cumulative Update*, written from Infor's release posts and its 2026.10 customer release materials. Download the full white paper (PDF, 35 pages) for every feature table, adoption label, key date and a readiness plan. The 8-minute video walks through the release one workstream at a time.

Start with the adoption label

Every 2026.10 feature carries a label that tells you who has to act:

  • Automatic change: it appears when the release is applied. Communicate and regression-test.
  • Feature toggle: off until you turn it on in Infor Feature Adoption. Test in your TST tenant first.
  • Configuration option: your own team sets it up.
  • Requires Infor configuration: you request it through Infor.

Many features also carry a flag for specialized licensing, Velocity Suite or limited availability (early adopters only). We counted the 54 detailed feature slides in Infor's HCM release highlights: HR and payroll is mostly configuration your team does, talent is mostly feature toggles, and most Workforce Management AI features need Infor to configure them. Sorting the release by label is the fastest way to triage it.

Platform and experiences

  • The GenAI Knowledge Hub is generally available, so users can ask questions about Infor documentation in plain language. Single-tenant content follows in April 2027.
  • HCM-wide data retrieval agents cover nine HCM domains, in limited availability.
  • The GenAI Assistant gets a full-screen landing page, content moderation guardrails, the Agent2Agent protocol and a no-code Agentic Orchestrator (Flow Builder).
  • Employee/Manager Hub unifies self-service, Portal Apps let administrators multitask, and Infor Mobile Hub is the recommended app for frontline employees. Infor has no plans to sunset Infor Go.

HR and payroll

  • A Payroll Processing Dates Calendar and a dedicated Payroll Administrator Workspace.
  • AI Duplicate Deduction Detection and an AI Pre-Processing Agent that checks payroll readiness before calculation (both Velocity Suite).
  • A Benefits Concierge Agent for questions, life events and open enrollment, plus evidence-of-insurability fields and salary-multiple coverage tiers.
  • Occupational health and employee safety workspaces, enhanced position requests, AI-assisted qualification rules, and data obfuscation for non-production tenants.
  • Compensation adds part-time merit budgets, credential-based rate progression and gender equity reports.

Talent

Recruiting gets the biggest refresh: simpler requisition requests, two-way text messaging with candidates, interview evaluation forms and reimagined recruiter views. AI Candidate Fit Matching replaces PercentFit with ratings from Poor to Exceptional, and talent agents arrive in limited availability.

Workforce Management

  • Intelligent Open Shift Coverage, Anomaly Detection Insights, new GenAI Assistant agents and skills, schedule and pay-rule summaries, a Developer Agent for Groovy scripts and GenAI forecasting insights. Most require Infor configuration.
  • Rotation schedule bidding, flexible pay-period and weekly attestation, attestation at the clock, GT clocks, self-service operational reporting and three new languages.
  • Time & Attendance and Multi-View Scheduler improvements, including a pay-group lock-down date, daily time-off limits by type and float history.

Finance, procurement and supply chain

  • Finance: Automated Close Management, IRS 1099 e-filing through IRIS, a Pay As Guest portal, GL report templates and multi-tenant export, ACFR reporting support, and financial anomaly detection (limited availability).
  • Procurement and supply chain: par transfers, purchase orders by inventory region, contract invoice windows and more than 20 contract evaluation improvements, EDI 856 tracking, and FDA and NRAC recall handling. A Premier GPO interface and Enhanced Receiving and Putaway are open to early adopters.
  • GenAI: the GenAI Assistant for FSM brings 60 chat agents, 145 tools and 8 skills, with list summaries, a Billing Assistant (limited availability), role-based agents, Agent2Agent with Microsoft Copilot and MCP access to predictions.

Dates to plan around

  • October 2026: the opt-in window for the FSM Consolidated Webapps closes. Review custom security roles now.
  • October 27 and 28, 2026: the November Service Release reaches US-East pre-production (update, then preview) for FSM, HRT, Landmark and MSCM. Production is not affected.
  • April 27 and 28, 2027: the same window for the May 2027 Service Release.

A five-step readiness plan

1. Sort every 2026.10 feature by adoption label. 2. Test the automatic changes in TST, including integrations and security roles. 3. Decide which toggles to turn on and name an owner for each configuration option. 4. Engage Infor early on Velocity Suite, specialized licensing and limited availability. 5. Pilot AI features with one team, measure against a baseline, then expand.

Treat every AI agent as a privileged identity: record its data scope, allowed actions, approval points and audit evidence before it goes live.
