BMC Remedy Developer

Need BMC Remedy Developer to develop a custom interface to track tickets in Remedy. The developer will manage, develop and support our clients BMC Remedy Suite of applications and custom built processes. This role will directly interact with IT, business groups, and the clients subsidiaries to develop best practices/processes within our enterprise ticketing system. This position requires the ability to work independently and in a challenging, team-based environment to achieve the prescribed goals and objectives.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • BMC Remedy Development and Administration experience
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, Business Objects or similar reporting tools development
  • Knowledge of BMC Remedy ARS 7.x platform or 8.x platform
  • Knowledge of BMC Remedy ITSM Suite 7.x. or 8.x
  • Knowledge of BMC Remedy on Windows Platforms
  • Knowledge of SQL and writing custom queries/views
  • Familiarity with Incident/Ticket/Change Management Processes
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project management and documentation skills
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostic and performance analysis skills
  • Remedy Administrator and Developer Training or demonstrated experience
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (v3). (Desired)


The Remedy Developer must have experience and knowledge in core Remedy functionality in an out of box. As well as experience customizing BMC Remedy system; this includes the ability to:

  • Administer application data
  • Work as a member of BMC Remedy related projects
  • Process queries and reports as requested by users
  • Analyze existing IT processes as related to ITSM tools
  • Monitor logs to ensure transactions are working correctly
  • Manage Remedy user accounts and process access requests
  • Perform analysis and documentation of requirements and processes
  • Assist in planning and scheduling of changes to the Remedy system
  • Evaluate, design, develop, and debug BMC Remedy forms and workflows
  • Develop and maintain application interfaces to BMC Remedy systems
  • Monitor and support BMC Remedy implementations and upgrades
  • Support and train users on use of BMC Remedy and supporting systems
  • Provide scheduled metrics reporting as defined by management
  • Provide ad hoc reporting on an as needed basis
  • Support related systems as required by management
