The Java Development Engineer will support of multiple Java applications, troubleshoot and resolves issues surrounding custom ERP Java programs.

Responsibilities / Duties

• Supports and/or modify applications
• Works with business teams in debugging and troubleshooting
• Investigates existing processes and associated technical solutions
• Design and recommend improved or new processes and solutions
• Participate in the installation and operation of custom software
• Perform software application patching
• Research application requirements
• Participate in application upgrades
• Participates in app performance tuning
• Monitors application health

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IS, CS, Engineering or related field
• Experience in design, development and support of Java applications
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in Java interfaces and web-services
• Ability to deliver enhanced functionality and provide great support
• Experience in the manufacturing industry and expertise in integration
• Ideal consultant would have experience in oil and gas industry
• Prefer someone with SAP experience: NetWeaver, UI5, WebDynpro, ABAP
